Hawaii

We took our first flight vacation to Hawaii this winter with Scotts family. We left early Sat morning -waking the baby up at 5:50am and thinking that she would get a great nap on the plane. Mikala slept 20 mins out of a 5 hour plane ride, but she didnt complain ("much" -that is!). It took a few days for her schedule to change to our new local time, but she did great. As long as shes busy being entertained, shes a happy-go-lucky kid.

We had a blast. She went into the ocean/lagoon with Scott and LOVED it. She kept laughing and digging her little toes into the sand. I had two requests for this trip: (1) to see family, and (2) to take studio portraits. I got both of my wishes. Mikala got to meet her family from Oahu for the fist time, and we took special Hawaiian Style pictures. This trip was really special. I thought a vacation as a "family" would be great...but, this was over the top!

Our friend Kenta was able to join us on the islands as well (flying himself from Japan to meet us)! Mikala was happy to see her Uncle Kenta. As always, he and his parents showered her with gifts from Japan...thank you, Kenta!

As for me and our latest pregnancy, Im feeling great. Im now entering my 6th month. No more sickness and Im putting on the pounds. -Wow- happy to put the pounds on! I didnt realize it, but Im huge this time around. Last night I found out that my belly is the same size as Janice (who just entered her 8th month)! Crazy!
